In general, in Yaoi/BL culture, seme/uke also refer to characters' specific physical and psychological characteristics: in most cases, the seme is depicted as the taller, bigger and more dominant one of the couple, while the seme is usually weaker, cuter, shier, and more submissive.

The seme is the one who pursues the uke. In stereotypical terms, the seme tends to be taller/older/richer, etc. sort of more "masculine" (although I really dislike these gender normative assumptions.) Anyway -- the uke tends to be shorter, shy, etc. See Dean and Pharm from UWMA for a very classic seme/uke couple.

The Meaning of Uke and Seme Uke (受け): The term Uke, in Japanese, literally means "receiver" or "one who receives". In the Yaoi context, Uke is the more passive, submissive, and generally younger or physically smaller character in the relationship.

The terms seme and uke also mean "top" and "bottom," but they're used by fujoshi in their BL doujinshi and fanfiction world, which means they have nothing to do with real life. In 2D, it's seme and uke, in 3D, tachi and neko. Or so was the case. Nowadays, LGBT people started to use seme and uke IRL too, mixing the LGBT subculture with the otaku.

The Seme and Uke tropes have left an indelible mark on the world of LGBTQ+ fiction. Their enduring popularity can be attributed to the powerful emotional connections they create, the escape they offer, and the rich character development they allow. However, as the genre evolves, so too must our understanding of LGBTQ+ relationships.

A defining characteristic of yaoi is the practice of pairing characters in relationships according to the roles of seme, the sexual top or active pursuer, and uke, the sexual bottom or passive pursued.

uke and seme by Muurin on DeviantArt

The seme (top) and uke (bottom) issue is a big deal in the BL genre; the trope associated with the two is that the seme is the much more masculine character while the uke is more femininized. BL as a whole has been criticized for perpetuating heterosexual norms in homosexual stories, which is problematic for LGBTQ representation.

Still can't figure out who's the Uke and who's the Seme here. The true answer is that it's none of our business. However I see the two of them being switches with Mya-chan taking the seme role first. Yes!!! A thousand times yes!!! Mya-chan would definitely take the lead first, but in the end, they're both switches. It's still up in the air.
